Hello! My name is Ken and I am a Berklee College of Music graduate who has focused my career on music education and the music business.  I have a unique guitar technique and have been told I have voice that sounds like a tribute to my heroes: David Gray, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Elton John, Paul Simon, The Beatles, and Radiohead. I have created a niche for myself in the music industry with years of focus on the craft.  The push for professionalism causes every gig to have the look of a high-end private event. As described by a happy client, “his soft and sweet personality make you feel like he’s singing every song just for you!”

THE EASTERN STANDARD DUO

The duo is my favorite personal project and has been morphing and solidifying for 10 years.  The stress on everything being natural and acoustic gives us the ability to stretch out and try to create sounds and vibes that are unique to us.  The duo has been Ken and Sean Rohrer for the majority of the time but in the last few years, we have added new musicians into the mix to fill and create more sounds.  Each version of the Eastern Standard Duo is similar, but unique in its own way.   Although titled “Duo” we are able to conform to whatever size is needed or requested by the client.

REDLINE

Redline is a 7 piece high energy dance band.  As the bandleader and musical director, Ken has been integral in redesigning and improving this Boston music scene staple.  Aside from his work managing and directing the band, Ken is also one of the lead singers and guitarists.  Redline is a top tier wedding/function band and popular dates are booked quickly so make sure you move quickly in reserving your date.

EASTERN STANDARD BAND

The concept of Eastern Standard came out of the bands earlier conception called Wishful Thinking.  Originally it was designed to be an acoustic trio but that idea morphed into a 5 piece dance band that focused on giving a unique and hip take on the traditional wedding band.

The Eastern Standard Band is booked exclusively through Murray Hill Talent.
